Conversations

I talk to myself... this is considered a bit odd to most people. Even more so, considering that fact that I take it as far as arguing with myself on paper. But... it helps.

You often heard it said that writers do not write for others, but for themselves. This is true--and false. I write so that I can sort out my problems, yes. But I also write for others enjoyment. I like telling stories for example. I love watching the reactions on peoples faces at certain bits of the story. They may cringe, or laugh, or cry, or... in the case of my kid sister, sometimes scream. It is amazing how stories can affect people.

This is also the reason for my enormous attraction to film: it gets a reaction. It seems to have always been that way; for good or ill. They always get a reaction.

But as I started... sometimes....... make that often times, words are for healing. Not many people. Not to inspire millions around the globe. But just a few, perhaps only two.

Perhaps only one.

My words have hurt so many before. It's even happened on this blog before. But I have seen the power of words to heal too. I've seen them creating beautiful things. Absolutely amazing things!

I pray I speak the way He meant it to be spoken.
